The Little Black Chanel Jacket

"fashion passes, style remains"
Coco Chanel

Attending the closing evening of 'The Little Black Jacket' exhibition in the Saatchi Gallery last Sunday, was a real confirmation of the reason why I admire the Chanel label.  This event was perfect in every way...from the atmospheric low lighting, the beautifully shot images of various generations of stars wearing the iconic 'little black jacket' to the very apt surroundings of the stunning Saatchi Gallery museum and grounds.  Chanel is one class act!

Each photograph was taken by Chanel's creative director Karl Lagerfeld himself, and curated alongside Carine Roitfeld and showed the versatility of this coveted little piece of black tweed....slung coolly over the shoulders of Kanye West, deconstructed and paired with a lace bridal gown on Brit model Edie Campbell and worn casually with frayed denim and headscarf on Alexa Chung...every image screamed quality.

The exhibition was free and was also accompanied by a complimentary printed poster of your choice from the show...mine being the gorgeous Georgia May Jagger...

It leaves me with the hope that one day, I too might be able to own one of Chanel's timeless little classics.

apparently this is NOT Kelly Osbourne.....it's a French actress who looks scarily identical!
